Isotropy in turbulent flame propagation
Three-dimensional turbulence simulations which include three different mean directions of passive dame propagation are analyzed for the isotropic nature of the dame shape, as given by the fluctuations in the G scalars which determine the passive Huygens propagation. When the turbulence intensity is greater than the flame burning velocity, the fluctuations appear to be isotropic as assumed in the analysis of Peters (1992).
