Growth of nonlinear optical gamma-glycine crystals
Bulk crystals of gamma-glycine have been grown at ambient temperature from aqueous Solution in the presence of small amount of sodium chloride. The chemical composition of the grown crystal was determined by CHN analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The gamma-phase was confirined b po kder XRD, single crystal XRD and differential scanning gamma-glycine generates second harmonic frequency of an Nd:YAG laser operating at calorimetry. It was observed that gamma-glycine 1064 nm. The second harmonic sconversion efficiency of gamma-glycine is comparable with that of potassium dihydrogen phosphate.
