Growth and optical properties of DyxY1-xAl3(BO3)(4) crystal
Single crystal of dysprosium-doped yttrium aluminum tetraborate Dy:YAl3(BO3)(4)(Dy:YAB) has been grown,by the flux method. The crystal structure is still belongs to the space group R-32. The absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum of Dy3+:YAl3(BO3)(4) crystal are measured at room temperature. There are four emission transitions occurred at 482, 572, 660 and 754 nm, but the yellow emission transitions (F-4(9/2)-->H-6(13/2)) at 572nm is more intense than other transitions.
