In vitro solubility, growth and characterization of cholesteryl acetate
The solubility, supersolubility and nucleation time of cholesteryl acetate in acetone and methanol were reported at physiological temperature. Crystals of 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.8 and 0.2 x 0.3 x 0.3 cm(3) were grown from acetone and ethanol, respectively. The powder XRD confirms the crystallinity and the SEM analysis reveals the growth layers of cholesteryl acetate. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
