Laser printing of photoluminescent porous silicon features
A system of laser image transfer for direct printing of photoluminescent porous silicon features is demonstrated. We found that the image resolution(similar to 10 mu m) is acceptable for opto-electronic displays and that the porous silicon (PS) produced with laser illumination can emit a brightness up to 90 times higher than that of PS produced in the dark. Electrochemical measurements, optical microscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy and Raman scattering analysis of laser-induced PS formation is discussed.
