CHARGE TRANSPORT IN POLYETHYLENE GRAPHITE COMPOSITE-MATERIALS
Deviation from the predictions of percolation theory for conduction in polyethylene-graphite composites (see figure) have been explained in terms of tunneling between the conducting graphite particles in the insulating polymer matrix, a mechanism which is believed to be a prevalent at lower graphite concentration.
