Dye-doped photosensitive mesostructure materials
Research Ne,vs: The incorporation of dyes into mesoporous materials can be accomplished by the new approach reviewed here. The Figure shows schematically the resulting mesostructured material. The dye, e.g., phthalocyanine or chlorophyll, is embedded between the hydrophobic tails of the surfactant molecules in micelles. The micelles then self-organize into a periodic array. Examples of systems are given.
