Strongly polarized and efficient blue organic light-emitting diodes using monodisperse glassy nematic oligo(fluorene)s
Monodisperse oligo(fluorene)s have been successfully employed for the construction of H polarized blue organic light-emitting diodes. Uniaxial alignment is accomplished by spin-casting oligo(fluorene)s onto a rubbed alignment layer with subsequent thermal annealing. resultant films yield the best set of performance data ever reported in terms of emission dichroic ratio, luminance yield, and chromaticity (see Figure).
