Optimization of polymer blue-light-emitting devices by introducing a hole-injection layer doped with the molecular nanomagnet [Mn12O12(H2O)(4)(C6F5COO)(16)]
The performance of a blue-light-emitting polymer (LEP) device is improved by introducing a novel soluble hybrid hole-injection layer based on a polyarylamine (pTPD) doped with a large inorganic magnetic cluster (Mn-12) used as oxidant. The efficiency of the devices at different luminances changes dramatically as the Mn-12/pTPD ratio is increased from 0.005 to 0.05 (see figure).
