Study of chemical reactions, absorption and extraction, using apparatuses with serpentine pipe for pelliclizing-bubbling, XVIII. Hydroperoxidation of 1-isopropyl-3-tert-butylbenzene
Experimental results obtained by thermal hydroperoxidation of 1-isopropyl-3-tert-butylbenzene, in the temperature region of 120-130 degreesC, using disodium adipate as additive substance and a Vodnar-1 type apparatus with discontinuous operation are presented. Based on the results, the activation energy (E = 91 kJ/mol), enthalpy (DeltaH(#) = 87.3 kJ/mol), entropy (DeltaS(#)) and the activation free enthalpy (DeltaG(#)) were calculated.
