Palladium catalyzed production of allylamines
Allylamines are important targets in organic synthesis due to their utility as antifungal agents or their precursors. The nucleophilic addition of amines (morpholine, piperidine, pyrrolidin and benzylamine) to eta(3)-allylpaladium complexes, generated in situ from Pd(0) compounds, was carried out. Some properties of the catalytically active species were explained based on semiempirical (PM3) calculations.
