Heat transfer at boiling of aqueous solutions of substances with limited solubility
This article presents the results of experimental studies on boiling heat transfer coefficients of some aqueous solutions of mixtures of substances with limited solubility. The systems studied are: ammonium nitrate-calcium nitrate-water and potassium nitrate-calcium nitrate-wafer. Empirical equations were established for the heat transfer coefficients at different concentrations, thermal fluxes, and temperature differentials. The general form of these equations is alpha = (a - bC(n))q(m) and alpha = (a(1) - b(1)C(n1))Delta t(m1). The following formula is proposed for the boiling heat transfer coefficient of aqueous solutions of substances with limited solubility: alpha(am) = m(1 alpha 1) + m(2 alpha 2).
