Electronic-Properties of a Monolayer of Lead Deposited on a Silver Single-Crystal Electrode
The density functional formalism was used to investigate the electronic properties of a monolayer of lead deposited on a Ag(111) electrode. Both the linear and the non-linear response of the surface electrons to an electrostatic field have been calculated. The presence of a monolayer of lead is expected to enhance the signal observed in second harmonic generation spectroscopy.
