Electrochemical Characterization of Oxygen Reduction on Teflon-Bonded Gas-Diffusion Electrodes
Teflon-bonded gas diffusion electrode prepared with different carbon materials for oxygen reduction were investigated with ac impedance spectroscopy and chronoamperometric techniques. Electrodes with different wettabilities showed significant electrochemical characteristics. The mass transport in the electrode with high wettability is dominated by infinite diffusion process; while in the electrode of low wettability, it is characterized by a thin film diffusion.
