The Effect of Potential or Current Drift on the Accuracy of Low-Frequency AC Measurements in Electrochemistry
The error caused by linear drift in low-frequency measurements is calculated. This error cannot be reduced by increasing the time of measurements alone. The use of the so-called windowing technique with carefully chosen window function is suggested for eliminating that error. A method of constructing such window functions and some examples are given in the appendix.
