Multicomponent Electrodes
Equilibrium potentials and solubility products of electrodes composed of more than one component in thermodynamic equilibrium with electrolytes containing cations or anions of the components are treated in a general way. A general description of kinetic processes involving parallel, statistically independent fluxes of the components at the electrodes of variable composition is presented. Some multicomponent electrodes of technical interest like homogeneous alloys and oxides are discussed.
