Thermodynamical Analysis of Nonstoichiometric Thallium Oxides and Reactivity Prediction for Electrosynthesis
An approach is proposed for the simulation of potential-pH diagrams which takes into account deviations of oxide composition from stoichiometry. The model of regular solid solution is used for the analysis of electrochemical thermodynamics of thallous ion (oxide)-thallic oxide-thallium superoxide (peroxide) system. Potential values corresponding to certain compositions of the product of Tl2O3 anodic oxidation are predicted.
