Taurocholic acid transport in Lactobacillus reuteri CRL 1098 was determined. The bile acid is incorporated inside the cells by an active and saturable transport showing a typical kinetics of Michaelis-Menten with values of K-m and V-max of 0.35 mM and 20 mM, respectively.
