Poly(pyrrole-biotin): a new polymer for biomolecule grafting on electrode surfaces
The electropolymerization of a pyrrole-modified biotin by copolymerization with a pyrrole ammonium derivative is described. The resulting copolymer was used for the successive attachment of avidin and biotin-labeled glucose oxidase. This provides an efficient biosensor for the amperometric detection of glucose at 0.6 V SCE (sensitivity: 7 mA M-1 cm(-2)).
