Low-temperature solvothermal synthesis of FeSb2 nanorods as Li-ion batteries anode material
FeSb2 nanorods were prepared by a solvothermal route. The FeSb2 nanorods were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and high-resolution TEM, and their electrochemical performance was investigated by constant current charge and discharge cycling and cyclic voltammetry. It was found that the FeSb2 nanorods electrode shows a first charge capacity of 543 mAh g(-1) surpassing its theoretical capacity of 532 mAh g(-1), and it also exhibits improved electrochemical behaviors compared to the microsized FeSb2 particles electrode prepared by a levitation-melting/ballmilling route.
