Curtailing noncondensables in steel heat pipes using a NaCr solution
Experiments were performed for investigation of the long term performance of mild-steel heat pipes. Working fluids were a NaCr solution in water, as well as water. The test period covered approximately 15,000 h. It is concluded that bath types of heat pipes perform well; the performance of the heat pipe containing the NaCr solution, however, is superior.
