Analysis of stability of the interphase front with evaporation and exothermic reaction in the porous catalyst slab
Using a two-dimensional mathematical model and a number of simplifying assumptions, the analytical (linear) analysis of stability of the reaction-evaporation front inside the half-wetted porous catalyst slab was made. Based on the obtained spectral equation, the effect of different parameters on possible types of instability was studied. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
