Model predicts two-phase flow pressure drop in gas-condensate transmission lines
The prediction of two- phase flow pressure drop in the gas-condensate pipelines is a challenge for optimal design of such pipelines. This article is an attempt to study the applicability of Taitel and Dukler work (with the combination of appropriate friction factor correlations) for the modeling of gas-condensate flow transmission systems. Comparison of the results from the proposed approach with other existing correlations and field data from Iran's Kangan gas-condensate pipeline, demonstrate the predictive and descriptive potential of the method in field applications. It is hoped that the proposed model can be used satisfactorily for both initial predictive and design purposes.
