Micro-scale truss structures formed from self-propagating photopolymer waveguides
Ordered polymer microstructures with three-dimensional open-cellular truss architectures have been fabricated from an interconnected array of self-propagating polymer waveguides. The process enables extensive variability in the microstructure leading to thick cellular materials with controlled and predictable mechanical properties.
