Laser-induced fluorescence of jet-cooled allyl phenyl ether and its conformers
Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation and single vibronic level fluorescence (SVLF) spectra of jet-cooled allyl phenyl ether were measured for the first time. The vibronic structures observed in the LIF excitation spectrum were responsible for three conformers resulting from different orientation of the allyloxy group. The assignments of the conformers were implemented with the aid of the quantum chemical calculations at the B3LYP/cc-pVTZ level. The anomalous low emission intensity in the higher-frequency region of the LIF excitation spectrum is probably due to predissociation. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
