This article discusses the role of chemical energy and energy of raw material in industrial processes. The methods for calculation of chemical energies and energies of some kinds of raw material are described. Their influence on consumption of conventional energy forms (fuel heat, electricity) by the complete energy balance is shown Consideration of the chemical energy and exergy in the national energy balances is suggested.
