Milling Process for Recycling of waste Mobile Phone
Mobile phone use has grown dramatically in the Korea, from 10 million subscribers in 1998 to over 43 million in 2007, on average, these phones are used for only 18 months before being replaced, even though they are often in good working order. By 2005, about 15 million cell phones weighing about 1,600 tons will be retired annually. Mobile phones contain many valuable metals. So, recycling of valuable metals are nεessary. And, mobile phones contain many toxic substance, including a number of persistent and bioaccumulative chemicals, called PBTs, that pose a threat to public health and the environment after disposal in landfills. So, the need for recoveη and recycling programs will be especilIy urgent. In the mobile phone recycling, recovery rate of valuable metal is depend on milling process. In this study, milling process for high recovery rate was investigated.
