Color Development with Rational Screening Method for Improved L-Glutamate Oxidase-Producing Strains
A rapid and convenient screening method for the detection of a more productive L-glutamate oxidase (GO) producer was developed on the basis of an H2O2-dependent, peroxidase-catalyzed chromogenic reaction method. With this screening method and HNO2 mutagenesis, we obtained a mutant whose productivity of GO in liquid culture was 80 limes that of the parent strain.
