Fabrication of highly air-stable ambipolar thin-film transistors with organic heterostructure of F16CuPc and DH-alpha 6T
Ambipolar organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) was fabricated with heterostructure of thin films of fluorinated copper phthalocyanine (F16CuPc) and alpha,alpha'-dihexylsexithiophene (DH-alpha 6T). The heterostructure TFT showed highly air-stable ambipolar characteristics with their hole and electron field-effect mobilities of 1.77 x 10(-3) cm(2)/V s and 8.18 x 10(-3) cm(2)/V s, respectively. Finally, complementary CMOS-like inverters comprising two ambipolar OTFTs were constructed. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
