Metal-mediated poly(viologen)-like coordination poly-electrolytes were prepared at the air-water interface via an interfacial coordination reaction of a multitopic bisterpyridine ligand with inorganic salts. By using anionic polymer as alternative support layer, organized organic-inorganic hybrid films were assembled and characterized.
