The multiphoton polymerization of CdS-polymer nanocomposites is used to fabricate 3D luminescent structures such as the multicolor "microbull" shown in the figure. The US nano particles are synthesized in situ within the polymer matrices with their size controlled by the amount of added crosslinker.
