Critical current anisotropy for second generation HTS wires
Angular anisotropies of critical currents with respect to an applied magnetic field, I-c(B, theta), were experimentally studied for two types of second-generation high-temperature superconductor (HTS) tapes synthesized by metal-organic and E-beam deposition. We also examine the angular dependence of the power-law exponent in the electric field-current density relation. The angular dependence of these parameters provides an insight into the nature of the flux-pinning mechanisms in these tapes. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
