Liquid-Liquid Equilibria in the Ternary-Systems of Ethanediol with Phenol and an Arene
Tie-lines were determined in the systems ethanediol + phenol + benzene at 295.15 K or toluene at 293.15 K and 353.15 K or o-xylene at 293.15 K and 370.65 K or m-xylene at 295.15 K and 372.15 K or p-xylene at 295.15 K and 371.15 K or pseudocumene at 294.75 K. This data were correlated in terms of NRTL and UNIQUAC models. Calculated binodal curves, tie-lines and plait points are also presented. For ternaries containing toluene and p-xylene liquid-liquid equilibria were predicted using NRTL parameters calculated from data for binary subsystems.
