Computation of the Attractive Energy Parameter of Normal Fluids in Cubic Equations of State
A generalized method is developed for the calculation of the attractive energy parameter in cubic equations of state (EOS). The procedure employs the principle of corresponding states and requires as input data the acentric factor, critical temperature and pressure. A comparison made with previous methods shows significant improvement in the prediction of the attractive energy parameter for normal fluids.
