Vapour-liquid equilibria. XII. The ternary system methanol-chloroform-acetone at 303.15 K
Total vapour pressure measurements made by the modified static method for the ternary system methanol-chloroform-acetone and the constituent binary system chloroform-acetone at 303.15 K are presented. Different expressions for G(E) suitable for correlation of these data are tested. The prediction of ternary VLE from constituent binaries is studied. Accuracy of prediction of H-E from general parameters fitted to several (4) isotherms is studied for binary system. The possibility of predicting the ternary H-E from VLE isotherms is also studied. Our results are compared with literature data.
