Solubilities of 1-propanol and 1,2-propanediol in supercritical carbon dioxide. New analytical procedure and measurements
A flow-type apparatus and a new analytical procedure for solubility measurements of low volatile substances in compressed, eases were developed. The equipment and the procedure were tested by measurements of solubility of decane and naphthalene in compressed carbon dioxide. Obtained results for both systems were in a very good agreement with literature data. The accuracy of the method was discussed. New solubility data for I-propanol and 1,2-propanediol in compressed carbon dioxide were obtained at three isotherms in the temperature range 311-333 K and pressures from 10 to 90 bar.
