MODELING THE VISCOSITY-TEMPERATURE RELATIONSHIP OF ALBERTA BITUMEN
High viscosity is a major problem in the in situ recovery of bitumens and heavy oils. In this paper a single and generalized one-parameter correlation for accurate prediction of bitumens and heavy oils viscosities is documented. The correlation requires only a single viscosity measurement to predict viscosity at various temperatures. A good agreement was obtained for the various Alberta bitumens correlated.
