We have developed a simple microwave-assisted solvothermal method for the preparation of SnO2 and ZnO hierarchically nanostructured spheres self-assembled by nanocrystals. The photocatalytic activity is significantly enhanced by simply mixing SnO2 and ZnO nanostructured spheres without any treatment or processing.
