We applied trimethylammonioethanethiol as an electrogenerated chemiluminescence coreactant for obtaining bright emission in a low concentration region. This is because trimethyl-ammoniomethanethiol has the bifunctional properties of luminescence acceleration and surface accumulation on a gold electrode surface.
