Electrochemical fluorination of organic compounds 92. Anodic fluorination of sulfides having oxazolidinone and its application to the synthesis of fluoroallylamine
Anodic fluorination of sulfides having oxazolidinone at the alpha-position was successfully carried out by controlled potential electrolysis at platinum plate electrodes in DME containing Et3N.3HF using an undivided cell to provide the corresponding alpha-monofluorinated products. The fluorinated product was readily converted into the corresponding fluoroallylamine in good yield by treatment with an alkaline solution. (c) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
