SIMULATION OF ABSORPTION WITH CHEMICAL-REACTION IN A VIBRATING VALVE PLATE COLUMN
Computer simulation of the process of absorption of carbon dioxide from air into aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide in a vibrating valve plate column is presented. The profiles of the concentrations, together with the relevant hydrodynamic and physicochemical parameters along the column height, are simulated. The resulting outlet gas concentrations are compared with experimental data.
