OPTIMAL-DESIGN OF PROCESSING NETWORKS
In this paper the basic guidelines for the optimization and design of processing networks are given. Presented is a mathematical model and its possible solution based on Fibanoci's method. The mathematical model is defined by a system of equations and inequations that comprises the continuity of flow, the pressure equilibrium in loops, pressure drops as a function of flow through the pipe, pressure constraints in nodes and possible distributions (locations) of pipes.
