Characterization by physical measuring methods of filter ashes from municipal solid waste incineration plants
This paper describes investigations into the solid structure of various filter ashes from municipal solid waste incineration plants. The carbon contained in the filter ash essentially determines the specific surfaces, the pore volumes and the pore size distributions. It is shown that certain pore structures are typical for filter ashes. These results are of interest as basic information about flue gas cleaning and they rue another contribution to understanding the de-novo synthesis of halogenated aromatic compounds.
