초록
몬트리올 의정서에 의해서 오존층 파괴 물질의 하나인 1,1,1 TCE(1,1,1 trichloroethane)는 금속세정제로서 사용이 규제될 것이다. 세정도를 측정하는 검사 방법에서는 물성의 측정, 증발량과 잔사량의 측정, 세정제와 피세정물과의 재질호환성 및 제거효율에 관한 실험으로 구성된다. 1,1,1 TCE와 유망한 대체세정제 중의 하나인 methylene chloride에 대해서 위의 검사방법에 의한 실험을 하여 세정성능을 비교하였다. Methylene chloride의 물성은 1,1,1 TCE와 유사하고 비수용성 절삭유에 대한 제거효율은 1,1,1 TCE보다 우수하지만 강한 용해력으로 인한 재질호환성과 독성의 단점이 해결되어야 할 과제이다.
According to the Montreal Protocol, 1,1,1 TCE(1,1,1 trichloroethane), one of the ozone-depleting substances, will be prohibited to use as a metal cleaning solvent. The cleanliness test methods for measuring the cleaning performance were composed of the measurement of physical properties, the measurement of evaporation rate and nonvolatile residues, the experiments on material compatiblity between cleaning solvents and parts, and finally the experiments of removal efficiency. The physical properties and cleaning performances of 1,1,1 TCE were measured by the test method, and the resulting experimental data were compared with those of methylene chloride, one of the promising alternative metal cleaning solvents. The experimental results showed that the physical properties were similar and the removal efficiency of methylene chloride for removing a non-aqueous cutting oil was superior to that of 1,1,1 TCE, but the problems of relatively poor material compatibility from strong solvency and the toxicity remain to be solved for improvements.
