ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION STUDIES ON ELECTRODEPOSITED NICKEL-ZINC ALLOY COATINGS
Titanium supported nickel-zinc coatings of variable composition have been prepared by electrochemical codeposition under potentiostatic control to study their corrosion behaviour in sodium chloride solutions. Thickness of the alloy coatings have been estimated assuming complete absence of undesirable electrochemical activity. Current-voltage measurements have also been carried out for the construction of Tafel plots to determine the exchange current density and corrosion rates.
