VISCOSITIES AND PARTIAL MOLAR VOLUMES OF [(CH3)(4)N](2)CENTER-DOT-HGCL4 IN DIOXANE-WATER MIXTURES
The viscosities and partial molar volumes of bis(tetra methyl ammonium) mercuric tetra chloride in dioxane-water mixtures of various composition in the temperature range 298-318 K have been measured. The experimental results of viscometry have been analysed using the Jones-Dole equation. Impact of solute on viscosity is studied in terms of Grunberg-Nissan parameter (d'). Mechanism of viscous flow has been studied in the light of activation parameters. Apparent molar volume (phi(v)) of this electrolyte at different concentrations have been estimated using Masson's equation.
