A new method for high pressure epoxidation of unsaturated compound using molybdenumdisulphide as a catalyst
The process for epoxidation of unsaturated compounds and polymers under high pressure was described. The epoxidized products were characterized by FTIR and LH NMR spectroscopy and analyzed for their epoxy yield and iodine value. The preliminary results show that high epoxy yield (similar to 80 %) was obtained for oils and rubbers under high pressure.
