Commercially available lipase from porcine-pancreas has been immobilized onto zirconia coated alkylamine glass-heads through the process of glutaraldehyde coupling with 100% retention of its initial activity. The enzyme showed changes in its physical properties after immobilization. The utility of immobilized enzyme in removal of oil stain from cotton cloth is demonstrated.
