Self-assembly of BaMoO4 single-crystalline nanosheets into microspheres
A new type of BaMoO4 spherical nanostructure consisting of numbers of nanosheets has been successfully synthesized through a very simple reflux. method under microwave irradiation. Our result shows that the concentration of initial reagents and the reaction temperature played important roles in the formation of BaMoO4 crystal with different morphology. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electron diffraction (ED). (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
