A Model for Investigating Mixing Times in Circulation Mixers
A model is presented for calculating tracer concentrations in a mixer with a well-defined circulation path. The model is applied to the airlift reactor. It is shown that the outcome corresponds well with the experimental data given in the literature. However, the model points to a discrepancy in the interpretation of the data. This discrepancy is the time interval between peak concentrations.
